AREA: Guest Teacher ($125.00 Per day)
LOCATION: Whitefish School District

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT:
- Implement existing lesson plans in a manner that ensures the integrity of academic time and motivates students to learn and participate.
- Instruct students regarding a variety of classroom topics and courses of instruction.
- Follow lesson plans that are provided.
- Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students in accordance with the lesson plans.
- Address the various learning styles of students accordingly and provide accommodations.
- Model correct use of spoken and written English language
- Demonstrate professional practices in teaching
- For long-term assignments, you may be required to develop lesson plans; create, administer, and grade tests/assignments; participate in parent-teacher conferences; and attend school related functions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience teaching or working directly with children or adolescents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Maintain classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school, state, and all applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure adequate supervision of students and the classroom environment to assure the health, welfare, and safety of all students
- Provide accommodations to students with provided accommodation plans.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect equipment, materials, and school property
- Remain in classroom and monitor students at all times.
- Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to school personnel immediately.
- Supervise students in out-of-class settings (e.g., assemblies, lunchroom, schoolyard).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This type of work involves walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time as required by situations of job position. Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral and written information, the manual dexterity to move related equipment, and the skills necessary to handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.May be required to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
